                             TRIP TO MATHERAN


                                            Matheran is a Hill Station and a municipal council in the Raigad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is a hill station in Karjat Tahsil and is also the smallest hill station in India.
        There are around 38 designated look-out points in Matheran, including the Panorama Point that provides a 360 degree view of the surrounding area and also the Neral town. From this point, the view of sunset and sunrise is dramatic. The Louisa Point offers crystal clear view of the Prabal Fort. The other points are the One Tree Hill Point, Heart Point, Monkey Point, Porcupine Point, Rambagh Point, and more.
                                
Matheran is situated at a distance of 90 km and 120 km respectively from Mumbai and Pune. Matheran can be accessed by rail from the close by town of Neral, by a narrow gauge railway, which is operational since 1907. The train from Neral to Matheran provides a scenic view of Matheran, as it runs through hill sides, plains, cliffs, plateau and the Jambol forests, covering a distance of 21 km in a slow pace. Tourists to Matheran can also drive up to Dasturi Point (11 km away) and reach Matheran by foot or on pony.

TARKARLI

                      TRIP TO MALVAN-(TARKARLI)

Tarkarli is a village in Malvan taluka in Sindhudurg district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is tourist destination and an attractive beach. This village is famous for its Ramnavmi Utsav. Ramnavmi is celebrated every year in Mahapurush Temple of the village.
                              
 Tarkarli is easily accessible from Malvan by bus and rickshaw.But if you want more enjoyment then go for private traveller it is more comfortable,economical and time saving point of view.
Tarkarli is famous for its beaches and scuba-diving.

 Malvan fort is also known as sindhudurg fort.It is near to tarkarli, we can see this fort easily from tarkali beach..
Scuba-diving : 
After reaching tarkarli beach we are thinking what to do for enjoyment and we got the option in term of scuba-diving.It not too much costly(500/person).and we went at diving spot by  small boat 


Then they give us some instruction how to breath under water with help of diving regulator..and we get weight tied around our waist and ready to dive.....
 then next step just hold your breath and dive in  and feel just.......... it depend on your feeling someone get fear at starting but after some time you feel awesome.and began to enjoy the dive.

FOODS:
Malvan is also famous for their foods like:
Kombdi Vade (कोंबडी वडे)  is a non-vegetarian dish, which is quite popular in Maharashtra. The dish consists of the traditional Malvani chicken curry, vade (like a puri,, onion, lemon and solkadhi).

  • Solkadhi (सोलकडी) is an energizing curry drink, highly popular in Konkan. It is made from coconut milk and kokam. It is usually served with Kombdi Vade, various fish delicacies and Mutton Malvani.
  • Bangda Fry (तळल्लो बांगडो) is a popular dish, especially in Mumbai. The head of the Bangda (mackerel) fish is removed and discarded and the other part is fried as a whole.


  • Malvani Mutton Curry is a highly popular dish throughout the Konkan region. It is similar to Murgh Malvani except that the spices are slightly different.
                                     

  • Bombil Fry or Bombay Duck Fry is an immensely popular dish, especially in north Konkan regions such as Mumbai and Raigad.


  • Paplet Saar is a dish consisting of Pomfret cooked in traditional Malvani fish curry. This dish is especially popular in Mumbai.
                                      

  • Phanasachi Bhaji is an exotic vegetarian dish, made from Jackfruit, chillies and spices.
                     

  • Kaju Chi Aamti is a spicy curry of cajus (cashews). It is a spicy preparation and is savoured by the Malvani populace.
                                

  • Fish Koliwada is an appetizer which has its origin in the coastal city of MumbaiPunjabi migrants from Pakistan settled around Sion Koliwada, who started this unique style of simple yet packed with flavours, fried fish which today is known all over as Fish Koliwada.
